MESSIANIC FULFILLMENT PART 3
Remember to pray daily as you read the Scriptures. In the next lesson we will talk about:
2. The Last Supper-Read Luke 22:7-20, read also Exodus 12. We will look at how it ties in with Passover also read 1 Corinthian’s 5:7, 1 Peter 1:18-20 and Revelation 5:6-14 to see answers to this question. You may also read from the Catechism Nos. 613-614 and 1340.
3. Did Peter fail? Read Luke 22:31-34 and 54-62. Read also John 21:1-19 which recounts something that happened after Jesus’ resurrection.
4. The Passion-Read Luke 22:39-46 and think about Genesis 3 as it all began in the Garden of Eden. How did God fulfill the curse on Satan and deliver His children from Satan’s power?
6. Jesus paid the price for our sin, still problems remain for humanity: broken nature, the loss of grace and the tendency to sin. Read Romans 6:1-14 and Catechism 1213-16 and 1227-28. It talks about the Resurrection and what happens to us as a result. Read also Romans 6:5 as it talks about our assurance as the result of the Resurrection.
7. Finally read Luke 24:36-53-It will answer the question of how Jesus made sure that the “good news” of His death and resurrection would spread beyond Jerusalem.
This lesson will launch into the last phase of our overview of the Bible Timeline, The Church…………stay tuned.
